Although there are various types of motorcar racing events organized since motorcars started on the road, and racings were organized, dirt track racing has always been a challenging game.
This game was born in USA after World War I and soon spread to other parts of world, with some minor alterations.
Although initially dirt track car racing were performed with the common cars , cars running on the roads, today cars for these races are specifically modified and designed for this purpose.
They have steel frame chassis, aluminum bodies with aerodynamic shapes to gain the speed and reduce the effect of friction. They have generally 800-horse power engine, with 9000 RPMs.
Usually cars are classified within class such as open motor, specific motor and all steel motor.
Usually all car tracks are oval half a mile long, the longer track helps the cars to gain the speed, but increases the damages in the events of accidents.
Each organizers or sponsors have rulebook as to which cars can part-take, so that the skill of drivers can be tested.
