KANGRI - LONESOME AND UNPOPULLUTED



For the rock climbers who wish to take moderate risk in rock climbing in Himalayan Mountains, Saser Kangri is the ideal place.
Saser Kangri consists of massif consists of four major peaks of which Saser Kangri I is the highest (7672 meters)
Saser Kangri is the easternmost sub range of the Karakoram Range in India.
Climbing Kangri does not require any great amount of Himalayan climbing experience.
If you have climbed in Himalayan before you can do it here also.
Saser Kangri has most scène tic beauty in Ladakh.
Since this place is not popular it is least polluted in Tibet –Ladakh region.
The adventure starts from Leh, which can be reached from Manali, Manali is yet another vacation place.
Manali itself is connected to Delhi by air.
It is really advised to the climbers to take minimum luggage, keep enough water and energy giving food. Although the local Sherpas are available for luggage carrying, after some climbing you should have minimum weight to carry with you. It is also absolutely necessary to keep one local guide to show the ways and safe ways of climbing.
One must also keep camping goods and warm clothes, especially sturdy shoes.
Near Kangri Buddhist monasteries are also worth visiting.
